An Update from Mr Curtis (7.2.25)
As always, it's been busy at Hawthorns this week.
We've had our weekly parents & carers coffee morning. This is held on Tuesdays and all are welcome.
Can we thank families for their help in the changes we’ve made to drop off and pick ups this week and next due to the drainage work that’s happening.
Lots of Animal based fun this week...
Holly Class had a great time at the farm this week, feeding the animals, drinking hot chocolate and roasting marshmallows!
Blossom class went to Smithills Open Farm. We saw lots of animals and looked at their different features, what they eat and their homes.
We went on a tractor ride to feed the donkeys, fed and stroked the cows and got a milkshake! Blossomers loved playing on the park too and even the sun made an appearance! Everyone had a brilliant day.
At Outdoor Learning this week, we've been taking part in the Big Schools' Birdwatch! We've also helped with Litter Picking, bird watching and making mud pies for magpies!
Willow class continue their work around the Romans and attempted to recreate Hadrian's Wall (complete with forts and castles) as part of their learning about Life in Roman Britain.
Have a great weekend!
