An Update from Mr Curtis (28.2.25)
We've had a very special anniversary in school this week.
Mrs Sarno, our Deputy Headteacher, has been at Hawthorns for 40 years.
We can't begin to say thank you and explain the impact she has had on all the children and staff she has worked with so far and in the future.
What amazing service to the school – THANK YOU, Mrs Sarno!
It has been a busy start to the term...
Pine class and Aspen class spent yesterday at Outdoor learning doing some loose parts play, building things such as boats, cars, trucks and a factory that makes kitchen appliances! Such great imagination.

On Wednesday, we had the Healthy Heart team in school checking the health of the staff.

On Monday, we had a special visitor in P.E. Football Freestyler, Ash Randall came in. During the assembly he showed off some of his amazing freestyling skills.

He also brought two special awards to show the children including a Guinness World Records award (of which he has over 20!) and a YouTube trophy for achieving over 10,000 subscribers to his channel.

In PSHE, Beech class have been learning all about looking after themselves including safely crossing a road.

In Pine, we had a spa in our class one afternoon for our topic Juicy Journey’s and healthy living.
In Dandelion class this week we visited our ‘Cafe’. We got to choose our food and pay the cashier! We all did a fantastic job at finding the right amount.

Buds have been enjoying lots of activities about transport this week!

World Book Day next week!
Have a great weekend, all.
