Friends of Hawthorns Charity
Friends of Hawthorns is a member’s organisation established to support the school and pupils with fundraising for equipment and activities.
It has charitable status (1142429) and families, friends and staff who are over 18 and associated with the school are welcome to become members.
More importantly, supporting Friends of Hawthorns events will enable the association to continue to support the school and pupil whatever needs are identified.

OUR LATEST PROJECT - Developing the new outdoor learning areas at the new school site.
Staff and children have now settled into the new school at Hattersley. Sadly, they have had to say goodbye to the lovely wildlife garden and forest areas at Audenshaw.
There is plenty of potential at the new site to create an allotment area and a large wildlife garden which will be used for outdoor learning. There is already an established section of forest consisting of a good mixture of native trees. Unfortunately this has been neglected in recent years and will take work and time to prepare it for the children to use.
Friends of Hawthorns will be liaising with the relevant staff at Hawthorns with a view to assisting with funding towards developing the above areas to create engaging learning environments for the children.
Calling all fundraisers!
Are you interested in supporting the Friends of Hawthorns charity to raise much needed funds for activities and equipment for all the children of Hawthorns school?
Do you have any creative talents or hobbies that could be used to raise funds within the wider community, e.g., cake bakes, sponsored bike rides?
