Welcome to Holly Class
We are a key stage 1 and 2, Communication Pathway class at Hawthorns School. We love to learn in a highly structured and sensory considerate environment. We use the SCERTS framework to support pupils to develop their social communication and emotional regulation. Our key priorities are supporting pupils to use their communication for a range of social purposes, begin to make and maintain relationships with peers and to begin regulating their own emotions.
The Adults in Holly Class are:
Name | Position |
Miss K. Foden | Class Teacher |
Miss G. Whatmough | Teaching Assistant |
Miss D. Drinkwater | Teaching Assistant |
Miss O. Bambroffe | Teaching Assistant |
As well as developing our communication and regulation skills, we also cover a wide range of exciting topics to expand our interests in the world around us. All sessions are hands on and engaging to ensure pupils develop a love for learning. Each session is differentiated to the individual child just ensure learning is meaning and purposeful to all.
